"The Orientation Event for the English Teaching Program for the Academic Year 2023-2024" included the following points:

Introduction and general information regarding Bartın, our university, faculty, department, and our program. Campuses, faculty buildings, living centers, libraries, and dining facilities were also introduced.
Introduction of the academic staff of our department and the rules to be followed in communication. Channels through which students can reach their advisor, the faculty, the department, and the rector's office were also introduced.
Information was given about the units, coordinators, and library of our university, along with practical demonstrations of their websites. Information was provided about health services, sports facilities, dormitories, student clubs, social activities, and opportunities such as Double Major / Minor and Erasmus+.
Detailed information about students' responsibilities, rights, the advisory processes, course selections, exams, and academic calendars was also given in the presentation. Students were also informed about the importance of following the department's website.
Information about the recycling areas established in our faculty as part of the Zero Waste Project and the rules to be followed.
Information about energy efficiency practices, including savings and benefits on our university campuses, and the rules to be followed.
Information on combating drug addiction, tobacco addiction, technology addiction, alcohol addiction, and safe internet use using visuals prepared The Green Crescent (Yeşilay). Students were informed that these documents would be shared in the Announcements section of the department's website (attached to this webpage) on fle.bartin.edu.tr.
A YouTube video was shown (also attached to this webpage) to provide information to students about the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center (PDREM). Information was given about how to seek help from this center for the resolution of psychosocial problems. It was also mentioned that this video is shared in the Announcements section of the department's website at fle.bartin.edu.tr.

At the end of the event, a class representative election was organized, and all students visited the library. For students who could not attend the orientation training or wish to access the information again, all content, including presentations, photos, and documents, is shared in the attachment of this webpage below.
