Bartın University (BARU) and University of Limerick (UL) sign a new partnership agreement

The University of Limerick (UL) in Ireland and Bartın University (BARU) in Türkiye have formalised a new partnership enabling students from Bartın University to transfer into selected undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at UL.

The Memorandum of Agreement, signed  by Prof. Colin Fitzpatrick on behalf of the University of Limerick, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet AKKAYA on behalf of Bartın University, establishes a five-year framework that allows eligible BARU students to continue their studies in Limerick. The arrangement covers specifically the English Language Teaching, Linguistics, and TESOL programmes.

Students who have at least IELTS score of 6.5 and complete the required years of study at Bartın University with a specified academic performance awill be considered for advanced entry into related programmes at UL. The University of Limerick may provide students who have transferred from Bartin University with a merit-based scholarship depending on their academic results in line with the International Scholarships Policy: https://www.ul.ie/gps/international-student/scholarships-international-students/international-scholarships-policy
