At Bartın University (BARÜ), work on strengthening quality assurance in education continues. With ten more programs receiving the Türkiye Qualifications Framework (Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi, TYÇ) label, the number of TYÇ-accredited programs—an indicator of recognition across Europe—has risen to 29. Most recently, eight undergraduate and two associate degree programs at BARÜ qualified to be added to the TYÇ database.
The undergraduate programs that earned the TYÇ label include Economics, International Trade and Logistics, and Management Information Systems from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Computer Technology and Information Systems, Biotechnology, and Mathematics from the Faculty of Science; English Language Teaching from the Faculty of Education; and Coaching Education from the Faculty of Sport Sciences.
BARÜ’s associate degree programs also received the TYÇ label for the first time. The Business Management and Organic Farming programs at the Bartın Vocational School were added to the database, securing their educational quality through TYÇ accreditation.
The TYÇ label will now appear on the diploma supplements, graduation certificates, and transcripts of 29 BARÜ programs. This will increase the recognition of graduates’ credentials both in Türkiye and abroad and enhance their employment prospects.
Expressing his satisfaction with the growing number of TYÇ-accredited programs, BARÜ Rector Prof. Ahmet Akkaya stated that with the addition of eight undergraduate and two associate degree programs, a total of 29 programs at the university have now gained recognition at national and international levels. He noted that the TYÇ label facilitates the acceptance of graduates’ diplomas across Europe and expands both employment and academic mobility opportunities. He thanked everyone who contributed to the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality.
