Contributions of Our Faculty Members to the COST Action CLILNetLE: Continuing into 2024
The Department of Foreign Language Education at BARÜ continues to stand out with its international collaborations. Faculty members of our department have played active roles and made significant contributions to one of Europe’s leading research networks, COST Action CA21114, throughout 2024.COST Action CA21114 CLILNetLE: Supporting Bilingual and Multilingual Education
COST Action CA21114 focuses on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and aims to promote the development of bilingual and multilingual literacies in education across Europe. This Action brings together researchers to support the effective use of foreign languages in academic and professional contexts. As Vice-Leader of Working Group 1 (WG1), Dr. Talip Gülle participated in a Virtual Mobility (VM) and a Training School in 2024. The Training School, held at Leiden University, brought together teachers, teacher educators, and CLIL specialists to exchange expertise and develop strategies for content and language integration in bi- and multi-lingual education.
Dr. Erdi Şimşek further enriched the work within the Action through a VM Grant under the CLILNetLE network, collaborating with Dr. Talip Gülle and Prof. Tarja Nikula (WG1 Leader, University of Jyväskylä) to prepare infographics presenting CLIL practices and country-specific insights across Europe.
