Assistant Professor Dr. İnanç Karagöz and Assistant Professor Dr. Erdi Şimşek participated in The International Conference on Conversation Analysis and Language Teacher Education (icCALTE) held between 13–15 February 2025 at TED Üniversitesi, followed by the DigiLTE Project Closing Meetings on 16–17 February 2025.

icCALTE brought together researchers and teacher educators working at the intersection of conversation analysis and language teacher education, providing an important platform for sharing research findings and innovative practices.

The closing meetings marked the final stage of the DigiLTE (Digital Language Teacher Education) project, an international collaboration carried out by TED Üniversitesi, Bartın Üniversitesi, Linköpings Universitet, Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, and Universität Potsdam.

The project aimed to support the digital transformation of language teacher education by developing a data-informed digital learning environment enriched with classroom interaction videos, structured pedagogical tasks, and virtual exchange activities for pre-service and in-service language teachers. Through this evidence-based approach, DigiLTE sought to strengthen digital readiness, inclusivity, and sustainable professional development in higher education contexts.

During the closing meetings, partners reviewed project outcomes, discussed sustainability and future collaboration opportunities, and evaluated the long-term integration of DigiLTE into teacher education programs.

We are proud to have represented our department at this significant international conference and project milestone.
