Dr. İnanç Karagöz has recently joined the Department as a faculty member. She holds a PhD in Technology in Education and Second Language Acquisition from the University of South Florida, building on her graduate studies in TESOL at New York University and her undergraduate degree from Boğaziçi University. Her work focuses on contemporary directions in language teacher education and technology-enhanced learning, with a particular interest in digital social reading.

As part of the orientation program, Dr. Karagöz was introduced to the institutional structure and administrative processes of the Faculty and the Department. The program included briefings on academic procedures and faculty operations to support a smooth transition into her new role. She also met with fellow faculty members and administrative staff, strengthening collegial connections and opening doors for collaboration in teaching and research. In addition, Dr. Karagöz was informed about the functions and services of key institutional units, including the Rectorate divisions, the university library, and other support offices. These meetings provided an overview of the academic and research infrastructure available at the university.
