‘Speaking Camp: Game-Based English Language Teaching Integrated with Science’’ TÜBİTAK 2209-A Project was finalized

Senior students in the English Language Teaching program Abdullah Koç (Coordinator), Rüveyda Betül Asmacı, Oğuz Koşan prepared a Tübitak project and 11th- grade language class students from Davut Fırıncıoğlu Anatolian High School students got together at the Tübitak project ‘‘Speaking Camp: Game-Based English Language Teaching Integrated with Science’’ event on October 03, 2022, at the Conference Room.

 

 

11th-grade language class students listened carefully to Bartın University rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun’s speech, head of the Department of Foreign Language Education Asst. Prof. Dr. Burcu Şentürk's speech, Res. Asst. Betül Çimenli’s speech and the principal of Davut Firincioglu Anatolian high school; Ozan Yasa and English Teacher Gencer Demir’s speech. After the motivational speeches, 11th-grade language class students presented their digital stories about natural disasters to create social awareness. The project focuses on improving students’ presentation and communication skills in English, overcoming their stage fright, using 21st-century skills, career awareness and collaborative learning along with science literacy levels. 11th- grade students also had the chance to visit Bartın University library and faculties.
