Language Talks #4: "Alice's Adventures in the Wonderland of Language"

Moderated by the head of English Language Society and third-year student at Bartın ELT programme, Özgün Savaş Ekici, the fourth session of Language Talks titled "Alice's Adventures in the Wonderland of Language" took place on April 22, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nil Korkut-Naykı at Middle East Technical University gave the speech which was about what Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and its sequel "Through the Looking Glass" say about the nature of language and the relationship between language and reality. Students and academicians at both METU and Bartın University attended the talk.A Q&A session took place at the end of the talk where participants and academicians discussed points raised in the talk. As a department, we are always happy to organize such events and strengthen our ties with Middle East Technical University in scope of YÖK Anadolu Project which promotes cooperation between the two universities.
